Our casa particulares was only five blocks away from the 5 star Saratoga Hotel. Evidently Beyonce stayed here which makes it pretty high-end I suppose. Keith and I would come here several times during our trip to drink Mojitos in the lounge and digest our day. I think this is where Keith fell in love with the Mojito. But like all loves, we went through the initial infatuation period and were never really able to recapture that first moment of taste here in this lounge.
We also loved this hotel lobby for a momentary taste of WIFI as we spent $10 for 30 minutes of WIFI. There is no data for smartphones available in Cuba. You can buy WIFI paying premium prices and you must go to some central location, like the city park or hotel, in order to use the WIFI. It is a real friggin problem for those of us addicted to the internet.
